Story
Turbo is a 7lb male Havapoo. He enjoys people’s company and will happily sit on your lap or near by you. He is blind in one eye and will sometimes need help navigating (stairs can be tricky). He is mostly calm natured and cautious but enjoys playing with his toys and getting belly rubs. He knows many commands such as come, sit, wait, off and up. Unfortunately Turbo does not get along well with young children and are looking to find him a good new home without young children. He has never bitten anyone but does growl and show teeth when children are near him. Turbo would do well with older adults as he is pretty relaxed and enjoys lounging.

Story
Affectionate and playful with my family and always up for a new adventure or challenge, I’ll bring lots of energy and joy to my new home. I was adopted in April 2022, when I was 5 months old, as a little brother for my mom’s first pup, but she’s found the demands of raising 2 young working/sporting males in the city to be more than she can manage given all her other commitments. I’m house trained, leash trained (tho I get excited when I see a rabbit or squirrel), neutered, fully vaxed, and I travel well in the car. I’ve got great recall, respond to all the basic commands, learn quickly, luv 2 please. Seeking an active, dog-savvy family who love shepherds and are mostly home/available to walk/hike, cuddle, play. Big enclosed yard and other dog/s bonus.

We rescued Pete almost two years ago. He is a super sweet guy who loves people and kids but is high energy and too much for our busy lifestyle. He is going to need a house with another dog (s) and a place where he can burn off his energy.

Story
We got Cora from a friend who was fostering her about 2.5 years ago. Shes a sweet dog but extremely anxious. We have 4 active children and a lot of foot traffic in the house, which is really hard for her. She needs a quiet home with someone who can focus on her and helping her overcome her anxieties.

Story
**My adoption fee is waived thanks to the generosity of a donor.** Chencho5 years oldAmerican Bully Have you ever dreamt of having your very own house hippo? Well dream no further! Chencho is the chunkiest house hippo on the block and is ready to dazzle you with his ample good looks and charm. This large couch potato would make a great companion in a variety of households as long as there are plenty of scritches available for him! He is not a fan of sharing his favorite things, so he would do best in a home without young children. He might be able to live with another dog with plenty of management. Chencho seems to have some allergies so it will be important to have a close relationship with a veterinarian to keep him feeling his best. Regardless, he promises to wiggle his way into your heart in no time! If you think you are a good fit and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
This sweet and sensitive girl`s name is Nala. While Nala would like to live up to her namesake being the queen of the jungle, she is still just a lion cub! In reality, our girl Nala is a bit worried when it comes to trying new things. Nala`s dream is to have a family that can help her slowly expand her comfort zone with lots of patience. Nala will need an adopter to help her navigate her challenges on her own time. When Nala is comfortable, she becomes the squishest and snuggliest pup in the pack! Due to Nala`s needs, she`s looking to be the only dog in a low traffic home(she`s not ready to live with dogs, kids or cats right now!) so she can be the main focus! If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog that’s a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources.
