Story

Leo has been a loved member of our family since 2020, when we adopted him as a 4 month old puppy. He loves hikes, playing fetch, napping the day away, and devouring his peanut butter kong. Leo listens very well (when he's not distracted), is very food motivated, and is well trained. He is eager to please and would love to learn new commands. We need to rehome him because we realized, shortly after our son was born, that Leo has anxiety around young children. Now that our son is toddling around, Leo is quite anxious and is constantly moving around the house to avoid our son. We want to rehome Leo so he can live in a place where he feels comfortable. Leo is a sensitive, loving, and sweet dog, who would do very well in a home without kids. He is e-collar trained and is eligible for lifetime follow-up obedience training sessions at The Loyal Hound in New Hampshire. Leo would love a yard but would also do well in an apartment if he was taken for a walk a couple of times a day.

Story

This is Ghost, our 1 year old pitbull. Hes a sweetheart, quiet and super affectionate. Unfortunately, I am allergic, and Ghost does not get along with our two cats. On top of this, we’re moving in September and won’t be able to take him with us. So we’ve made the tough decision to find our boy a new home. Ghost is UTD on his shots and will come with his crate, leash, food bowls, harness, toys etc. He has a good amount of training, and seems to excel with it. Hes very food motivated which is great. He knows sit, down, heel, stay, touch, paw and more. We will be asking for a small rehoming fee to ensure he gets a good home. If interested please reach out with any additional questions. Thanks!

Story

Chief is a handsome 8 year-old Mini Bernedoodle (27 lbs). He is a beautiful and loving animal who we brought into our home when he was 8 weeks old and before we had kids. He is very good with our two kids, ages 7 and 5. He loves to follow us around and play fetch with his ball! He is sensitive, caring, and loves his family (including dog walker) very much. He needs and likes a lot of exercise and is admittedly an anxious/nervous dog (the mailman, trucks, and neighbors can hear him telling them so). Chief ultimately will do best outside of a city or small neighborhood environment where he can run freely and play with sticks in the woods. Keeping him from trying to run out to inappropriately "greet" neighboring dogs has been our primary challenge.

This large couch potato would make a great companion in a variety of households as long as there are plenty of scritches available for him! He is not a fan of sharing his favorite things, so he would do best in a home without young children. He might be able to live with another dog with plently of management. Chencho seems to have some allergies so it will be important to have a close relationship with a veterinarian to keep him feeling his best. Regardless, he promises to wiggle his way into your heart in no time! If you think you are a good fit and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. Betty is looking for a quiet home where she can take all the time she needs to adjust to a home environment. She can get overwhelmed by all the hustle and bustle of the city, but with a little TLC and a quiet space Betty will snuggle up to her favorite people in no time! Betty might be able to live with another low key dog friend, but will need lots of management to help keep her comfortable. Betty is still learning all the dog things like walking on a leash and potty training, so patience will be key for her new family!
