Story
Nala is a very sweet dog! We rescued her from a shelter 1.5 years ago. She loves long walks and playing with any soft squeaky toy she can find. Nala loves mealtime but displays food aggression when other animals are present. For this reason Nala will need to be placed in a home where there are no other pets. She will need someone who is experienced with dogs who have a past history of fear induced aggression. She does have anxiety and is very wary of men. A female owner or a couple who will show her the patience that she needs is preferable. We avoid dog parks because she does not do well with smaller breeds. She is OK with some other bigger breeds but always use caution. Nala will thrive in an environment where there are no children and no other pets in the house. Nala would benefit greatly with someone to work on her training, also!

Story
Courtesy Post: Doing well in short-term, temporary foster, but needs to find somewhere he can stay longer! His foster says he's been great there, but she is not able to keep him. Friends, a kind lady helped out fostering Dozer to save him from being euthanized, but some expected things have come up to where she can no longer foster. This is by NO fault of Dozer. He has been absolutely wonderful with her and her Cane Corso dogs. We need to find Dozer and adopter OR another temp foster while we work on finding something permanent. There is never a set time frame we can tell fosters how long the dog will be in your care, but I will say we work diligently and as quickly as we can to find permanent placement. Dozer is currently in CT, but transport is available depending how far. Dozer is available for adoption. Currently being fostered in CT. Transport is possibly available! This handsome young boy is a Mastiff (Boerboel)/Pit/GSD. His birthday is 12/22/22. He's up to date with all his vaccines, neutered, and is microchipped. He's fully crate and house trained. He's human and dog friendly. Not sure about cats. He's in a temp foster home right now with 2 adult Cane Corsos and is around several other dogs who visit the home often, as well as, play dates at the dog park. He absolutely loves to play and ideally would do best in a home with other dogs close to his size or larger. He's very strong and has a lot of energy, so probably not a good fit for a home with toddlers only because he may knock them down in play. He's very sweet and shows affection. Loves car rides! He knows some basic commands (sit, come, no, quiet, and back). He has excellent recall off-leash and would make a great jogging or hiking buddy! He isn't reactive to hands near his face, touching of his ears, or touching his backside. This boy is overall a happy-go-lucky pup who would make a wonderful addition to the right family.

Story
Hi! I'm Tootie, a 1.5-year-old female hound mix. I'm about 43 pounds and am up to date on all my vaccinations. I am playful and affectionate. I love giving kisses to everyone I meet! I'm great with dogs and love going to the dog park and daycare. I'd love to have another dog to play with me in my new house, but would be fine alone as long as you're around to play with me. My previous family loved me very much, but unfortunately I didn't get along well with their kitten. As a hound, I'm very prey-driven and like to chase cats and small animals. They're heartbroken to see me go but know I deserve a home where I can be my happy-go-lucky self! I hope it won't be long before I find my forever family. I'm available through Kitty Connection in Medford.

Story
My name is Kronos and I am a 2 1/2 year-old black nose/mountain Curr male. I’m a very friendly and happy-go-lucky guy when I’m comfortable in my surroundings. I have a great time playing with other dogs in the doggie park. I am a lovable and affectionate dog to my people and protective of them as well. I love their love and affection, I love going out on walks and being involved in outside activities. I’m a little overweight, so I need to get a lot more outside activity into my schedule. My dad just doesn’t have the time anymore to give me the activity and time that I need. I love to go on car rides because I am timid, meeting new people I am best with a dog experienced individual. I am available through Kitty Connection in Medford.

Story
Major is a handsome, 20 month old Pitbull mix. We adopted him at 13 weeks old. Major loves people and has never shown any aggression. He loves being with his people. He currently gets two 20-30 min walks a day and enjoys running in the yard. He lets us know when he needs to go out for the bathroom. Since we got him I was diagnosed with multiple health issues. At 65 pounds he's become too much for me to handle. He is highly trainable and will do anything for a treat! He loves chewing on bones. He knows several commands, sit, stay, down, wait, leave it, drop it, get in your bed, etc. Despite his youthful energy during the day, by 6pm he is asleep for the night. He is house trained and crate trained.

Story
I got Kylo Jan 2020 while I was living in WA, so he is a COVID dog. He was from a breeder up in Idaho. His birthday is Nov. 13, 2019, so he just turned 5. I would describe Kylo as a very loyal, protective and vocal dog. He loves his cuddles! He's been an apartment dog since I got him, so he doesn't require tons of exercise and i partially think he prefers it that way He is crate trained and is fairly well housetrained. There are two sides of Kylo: 1) the side where you have no idea where he is because he's quiet and 2) the side where he barks and is quite loud. Most of the time you have no idea he is home, and he doesn't require much attention, but when he hears random noises that are unfamiliar to him, he will make his presence known by barking He really is sweet and has a good heart but he is very vocal at times. When he meets new people or dogs, he will be very hesitant at first and bark but once you've made the good list, he will protect you will his life and expect cuddles
