Story
🌟 Foster Needed for February: Meet Tabitha, Our Special Senior German Shepherd 🌟 Tabitha’s story is nothing short of miraculous. She was saved from a heartbreaking area where dogs were often shot for sport. One day, she stumbled upon the right home—a kind person who refused to look away and contacted someone who came to save her. From there, Tabitha found safety at a roadside rescue network and began her long journey toward a better life. For the past few years, Tabitha has been living at the rescue headquarters. During that time, she completed much-needed heartworm treatment and is now healthy and ready to take the next step. Tabitha is a true gem. She loves stealing toys and hiding them in her crate, a playful quirk that melts the hearts of everyone who meets her. She adores being walked by visitors, is crate trained, and is good with other dogs. Her best friend is a male named Winston. However, she isn’t cat-friendly, so her foster home will need to be feline-free. Her salt-and-pepper face tells us she’s a senior, though her exact age is unknown. What we do know is that she’s full of love and deserves a warm, safe place to call home. We’re looking for a foster for February. Can you be the next stop on Tabitha’s incredible journey? If you’re interested in fostering Tabitha, please reach out! Let’s give this amazing girl the love and care she so deeply deserves. We will provide everything you need! 📩 info@bigwavedogrescue.com Foster 🎾 https://www.bigwavedogrescue.org/foster Adopt 🦴 https://www.bigwavedogrescue.org/adopt

Story
These two brothers unlocked an early Rescue memory of a dog I fell smitten with the first time down volunteering in Mississippi! Her name was Frankie. She came north soon after we met her, and she now is living a rescue dog’s dream with her forever family! The goal is and will be to do the same for these two brothers. Their eyes, ginger hair, and up ears are ridiculous in the cutest sense! SCAR and BROTHER are 7 months old, have playful puppy energy, and love treats and seem smart and eager to please! Scar has a scar on his head, and a slightly bent ear. In the video we saw of them (see comments) they took treats gently. They are dog friendly and are about 35 lbs! We are hoping to secure forever families or fosters the end of the month! A share, like, comment, will help spread the word of these boys! Story
Scar is a beautiful boy that was found wandering as a stray with his brother, "Brother". They are being fostered together, and we are told that they are sweet, still have some puppy energy, and are two friendly boys. They love treats and both seem like they'll be very food motivated, which could be a positive tool to use in training. We are told that both are good with other dogs, but bark at cats. Scar is looking for a forever home that will give him the grace, time, and patience needed to learn what life in a home is like. In return, you'll receive a lifetime of love and loyalty. Scar is about 37 lbs and 7 months old. He gets the name Scar from a Scar found on front of his head .

Story
DUKE and DUTCHESS 👑 👸 🐾 Currently safe in a southern foster home, Duke and Dutchess are two gorgeous puppies with a rough start to life. Like so many before them, they were discarded and abandoned—but thankfully, they were found near their foster home and taken in with love. We’re still learning all about these sweet siblings, but the videos we’ve seen show happy, wagging tails and a whole lot of puppy sweetness. They appear to be large-breed pups with some shepherd mixed in, and we estimate their age to be about 4 to 4.5 months. Now, a funny side note: somewhere along the way, I thought their names were Duke and Dutchess…but it turns out I made that up in my head. The good news? The names stuck, and they wear them well! Duke is a striking black-coated boy, while Dutchess is a beautiful brown-coated girl. Both are getting along wonderfully with their foster’s resident dog, and now we’re on the hunt for their perfect forever homes (separately). If you’re looking to add a large-breed puppy to your family, Duke and Dutchess are waiting to meet you! Apply today and help them write the next, brighter chapter of their story. 🐾 Adopt 🫶🏻👑 https://fs19.formsite.com/bigwavedogrescue/BWDRADOPT/index

Story
We adopted Callie when she was about 4 months old from a rescue in Maine in 2020. She has been an amazing and sweet dog with us these last 4 years. Unfortunately, as of lately, she has started to not get along with our other dog. We have 2 small children and for their safety, we feel like the best thing we can do is find her a home that is just centered around her. She has never been a problem with our kids, but they could easily get in the middle accidentally if the dogs are going at it. Callie is an incredibly affectionate dog, and wants nothing more than to be as close to her loved ones as possible. She loves to snuggle, and loves a soft blanket to lay on. She is very anxious, and can be distractive at times, so she would benefit from behavioral training. She would do best in a family with no other pets and older kids if any. We love her very much, and it breaks our hearts to do feel like this is our only option, but we hope we can find her a family who loves her as much as we do.
