Story
This happy go lucky big boy is Scott! Scott is what we believe to be a lab/shep mix but truthfully who knows! As Scott is only almost 9mos old he has a tad bit more growing to do! He is an absolute hoot of a boy! Scott would also love to show you his smile! The second you walk into the kennels and start talking to him he shows his gorgeous smile in what we call `cheesing`. Scott is currently in a play group with a larger male shep and he does wonderful in it! He was cat tested and would do well with a dog savvy cat and a strong owner. Adoption fee is $200 plus tax. Find us on Facebook to be updated on events and shelter news! All animals up for adoption at the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested negative (if age appropriate), up to date on vaccinations (a booster may be needed), given flea and tick preventative, given heartworm preventative, dewormed, and treated for anything necessary: such as dental cleanings, ear infections, etc. Please visit our website for prices and more information about our hours. No pre-applications are accepted, please come to the shelter with your family with no appointment needed. If you have another dog, we’d like an appointment to do a meet and greet with your other dog. We can cat test here at the shelter. If you have questions, please email or call us and we’ll answer your questions the best we can. Potty training is not guaranteed nor implied. Go to, WWW.THEHSKMC.COM for all your information. Animals’ fees are not waived unless noted in this description.

Story
First off, just look at this beauty! Absolutely gorgeous. Sunny is what we presume to be a plott hound/shep mix but honestly, who knows! Sunny is a wonderful dog with just the right amount of playful energy. She does decently well on leash and has been in a couple of play groups with other dogs here at the shelter. Sunny does best with dogs that aren`t super crazy for the first meet barking at her. She likes a calmer introduction to other dogs so she feels safe. She passed her cat test beautifully and did wonderful with a few kids that she has met! Sunny is 2yrs old and around 54lbs. Adoption fee is $200 plus tax. Story
Pit Bull Terrier Mix, female, ~2 years old, 64 lbs. River is a one of a kind looking dog and has a one of a kind personality to go along with her looks. She is a sweet, loving gal that loves her tummy rubs! Incidental radiographic finding during routine educational radiographs (x-rays) discovered a nonclinical injury to River’s right shoulder. Images revealed arthritic changes and bone remodeling with metallic fragments present to her right shoulder. This discovery is likely from a previous traumatic incident. Therapeutic recommendations target holistic joint support through traditional (dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, anti-inflammatory medications, etc.) and alternative (herbal medicine, laser therapy, acupuncture, etc.) modalities. She is currently being successfully managed with monthly Librela (monoclonal antibody injection) and bi-weekly laser therapy. River has such a positive attitude and does not skip a beat physically or behaviorally. She is an amazing gal! Before adoption, all dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm tested and on preventative, vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella (kennel cough), and are microchipped. The adoption fee is $120 For more information about this dog or for an adoption application, please contact Amy at ridgewaterpawsandclaws@gmail.com
