Story
Cooper was adopted after he was found as a stray in Central Massachusetts. They estimated at that time that he was around 2 years old. He's been a wonderful dog and a great friend to our family. He does have some leash aggression when he sees another dog and is on leash. He is wonderful if he sees another dog off leash. He does excellent in dog parks and daycare situations. He is fully potty trained, has never attempted to get on any furniture and doesn't really bark unless another dog comes onto our property. The reason for rehoming is that we have two small children who love to run through the house and be loud and crazy. When they do this it gets Cooper going and he isn't able to control himself and will often jump on them and is very clumsy. He would be a perfect addition to a family that has older children that can give him the time and love. It would also be necessary to have a large yard for him to run in as he has a lot of energy.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Adoption Fee: $460, plus tax Location: Foster Home Pippin was found in a good Samaritans yard one day with no tags and no chips. Not having seen him before, the finders spend the afternoon and evening walking him around to the neighbors to see if anyone knew where he had come from! After hanging on to him for the 10 day stray hold, Pippin came to us, and is now looking for his forever home. Pippin has been evaluated by a behaviorist due to his tendency to people guard and his leash aggressiveness. He has taken great strides with the help of Giffy Dog Training and his foster, who has been dedicated to help Pippin reduce his stress level. Once Pippin gets comfortable with a person, he becomes a ride or die! Pippin is in need of a single dog home who can keep up with the training that is needed for him to become the best dog. If you are interested in learning more about Pippin, fill out an application at www.carverscotths.org

Story
Maggie is an energetic young female that is sweet and smart. Maggie was in a rough situation where owner had too many dogs and could not afford vet care. She had a litter of puppies and was a great mom. We got her spayed and updated on vaccinations so she is very much ready for a forever home! Maggie is a perfect size, not too big and not too small. 😊 She loves attention and is very affectionate. Maggie does great w/bigger dogs and would be fine with older children. She is housetrained and does well on a leash.

Story
Adoption Fee: $400, plus tax* Location: Foster Home You know that song "She's a happy, happy dog, she's a happy happy happy dog"? That's our Minnie!! Minnie has the most expressive eyes and is a what we call, compact size! Minnie LOVES her humans. She is very tuned into pleasing her humans and is very attentive to the tone of your voice AND watches her humans closely. She loves her belly rubs and she is friendly to all humans she encounters! She knows the sit command and is very food motivated, aren't we all? She walks well on a leash, sleeps well through the night and does well in a kennel. Minnie loves humans more than other dogs, but she gets along well with other dogs as long as they don't push the boundaries. If her future home has other dogs, Minnie would ideally like to live with older non-dominant dogs. She would thrive in a home with non-dominant dogs or as a single pup. Medical Information on Minnie: Minnie has been diagnosed with four mast cell tumors. A mast cell tumor (MCT) is a type of malignant (cancerous) tumor consisting of mast cells. Mast cell tumors typically form nodules or masses in the skin, but they can also affect other areas of the body, including the spleen, liver, intestine, and bone marrow. MCTs are the most common skin tumor in dogs (7%-21%). Most dogs with MCT (approximately 85%) only develop one tumor. Minnie has had all 4 masses removed! She is healing well and is ready for her new home. CSHS is wanting to be completely transparent with protentional adopters regarding Minnie's medical history. Minnie still has a lot of life to live and deserves a forever home of her own. Continued monitoring of previous or new lumps/bumps with the adopter's regular veterinarian is highly recommended. *Due to Minnie's medical diagnosis her adoption fee has been reduced. If you are interested in meeting Minnie, please fill out an application on the Carver Scott Humane Society website today!

Story
Adoption Fee: $460. plus tax Location: Foster Home Meet Fairy, a sweet spirited 4 year old from the South. After raising a litter of puppies, she is ready to be YOUR puppy. Cause all dogs are puppies forever, right? Fairy is a very fast girl who will keep your yard clear of mice, moles, squirrels and anything that runs. She would benefit from a fenced in yard, but as long as you are willing to go at Fairy's speed and shower her with love, she will thrive anywhere. Fairy does great with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, and doesn't seem to mind cats! If you are interested in meeting Fairy, please fill out an adoption application on the Carver Scott website today!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Adoption Fee: $460 + taxes Location: Foster Home Areo is a lively, playful pup with plenty of personality and some seriously impressive moves! He's full of energy and absolutely loves going on walks, making him a great match for an active home. Areo's enthusiasm means he can get a little jumpy, so he'd do best with older kids who can match his playful spirit. He's fantastic with other dogs and would thrive in a home with canine companions. While he loves to chase cats, he may do best in a home without them. This spirited pup still has a lot of puppy energy, so he'll need ongoing training. Luckily, Areo is highly food-motivated and responds well to redirection, making him a quick learner. If you're ready to welcome a fun-loving, energetic companion into your life, Areo is the perfect match. Bring him home and let the adventures begin!
