Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please help us by fostering  TODAY!!!!! ________________________________________________________ We try to evaluate  most of our adoptable dogs temperament  with a senior UDR rescuer before it goes into a foster home. This helps ensure we place it in the right foster home. We may have some dogs in rescue who are not on our website that we are getting to know and who may need a foster home. Our goal is to place dogs in the right foster and adoptive homes! Of course it is up to the fosters to further evaluate the dogs while they are living in the home.  New arrivals coming soon! We partner with Doberman Rescue of Northern Texas, High Desert Doberman Rescue and many other rescues across the US and world. We have new Dobermans coming in often and have the ability to take in a homeless Dobermans the same day we are contacted should we get a surrender request. We can always use fosters to be on the ready to foster one of these new arrivals!         Please apply on our website to foster, or give a shout out if you can help any of these dogs!! As always fosters get the first chance to adopt! You provide a safe, loving home with daily structure until your foster dog gets adopted. Time frame is anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months. If you have a dog, your dog may like a friend. We try match up the dog with the foster home best suited for each dog in need. UDR supplies all the dog food, some supplies and always pays for vet care. Going on vacation and worried you will have to find a place for your foster dog?? NO worries!!!Know we DO have numerous options for vacation boarding and doing temporary fostering of your foster dog while you take that much needed vacation. We are also in need of short term fosters, those foster homes who would take in a foster dog on a short term basis, a weekend, a week or two, even to help in emergency or medical situations. Please fill out our foster application today and help a dog in need!!!  Fosters get first chance to adopt their foster dogs, so this might be a great way to "test" out your new friend. Fostering has its perks!! Many fosters do join the foster failure club, meaning they end up adopting their foster dog! Why should I foster a dog? Fostering a dog is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have (other than adopting, of course). By taking an animal in need temporarily into your home you’re: freeing up a spot so a shelter can take in another dog. giving your foster dog the time he needs to be ready for adoption. helping us learn more about the dog so he can end up in the best home possible. socializing the dog to a home environment and possibly getting him used to being around other pets and different types of people. Thank you for helping us help them! Fostering saves lives. Be a hero, foster a dog in need! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All potential adopters must fill out  the adoption application. Please read our adoption policies page in its entirety before filling out application-failure to do so may delay the adoption process. Please answer all questions on the application, failure to do so may result in your application being denied. We do not adopt on a first come first serve basis but what is the best fit for our dogs.  We do give preference to homes with fenced yards. Puppies must live in homes with fenced yards. Those with no fencing must have a plan in place for daily activity and bathroom breaks for adult dogs. With the exception of Meet and Greets, y ou will not be able to meet our adoptable animals until the adoption application is submitted online and the home visit is completed. We will not place adult rescue dogs in homes with young children under 6 years old, with the exception of puppies 6 months and under, we will adopt to families with children under 6 years old, but a fenced yard is mandatory. Story
Location: Burbank, SD Meet Jameson aka Jimmy! This sweet boy adores being near a dog friend and is happiest when walking and playing outside. He does well walking on a leash. He absolutely loves ear scratches and naps, and he is quickly learning to be a dog and discovering the joy of toys - especially bully sticks. Jimmy enjoys the company of another dog and will help him to transition at his new home with canine friend who is similar in size. He is guarded at first and does need slow introductions; but with a bit of space, time, and treats, he warms right up! Because he tends to bark and chase after smaller animals, a feline-free household is probably best. A fenced in back yard will be best as he is easily spooked and will be safest for him. He also likes to play ball with the resident 11 year old human but younger children cause him anxiety. Sometimes men make him nervous and favors the females in the home. Jimmy sleeps/stays in a kennel when his foster mom is at work or sleeping. When he wants to go outside he will bark or ring the bells on the door. This gorgeous boy may be shy, but will warm up quickly to his forever family. Jimmy is happy, healthy, and ready to find her forever family. Will it be you? --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Snoop is a 1-year-old neutered purebred, male Doberman, who was surrendered to UDR from the breeder with his two sisters. Snoop tends to be on the shy and timid side but his spirit shines through despite the challenges he has faced. Snoop is very loving with his foster mom and dad and embodies the playful and adventurous essence of puppyhood.  Beneath his lively exterior, Snoop reveals a vulnerability that only serves to deepen the connection with his caring companions. There are some men that do scare him so we can only venture at what his past may have experienced. Snoop will need a fully fenced yard as this boy can jump like a high stepping gazelle! Yes, Snoop can clear a 4-6 foot fence with ease. Snoop is fully vetted, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped and neutered! If you have room in your heart for a courageous soul in need of a understanding home, Snoop is ready to make a lasting impression on your life and be your loyal companion. Visit our website at www.uniteddobermanrescue.org to submit your adoption application and welcome Snoop into your home. Your love and care will play a pivotal role in Snoop's ongoing journey toward ensuring that this resilient and lovable pup finds the perfect family to share his adventures and continue his healing. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All potential adopters must fill out  the adoption application. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Location: St Paul, MN Holly was named Honey by her previous family, and it very much suits her! She was unfortunately returned due to no real fault of her own. She can be skittish to loud noises and sudden movements, so a house with small kiddos just wasn't the right fit for her. She has been with us just over a week and is the easiest little sweetheart! She is potty trained, goes in her kennel on her own or when told to "kennel, but we have left her out when we are gone and she's just fine. She lets us know when she has to go outside with her cute little peeps, and comes right back in when called. She loves snuggles and attention, and digs her head under your hand when you stop petting her. She does know some basic commands according to her previous family. She loves our two dogs and is very playful with them. She has been interested in our cats but responds to "leave it very well. We have taken her on walks, and we think she somewhat enjoys them? She's happy when she forgets the world is a little scary, and is okay with cars passing by but could also hear or see something that is intimidating and might cower or jump. If her future home had a fenced in yard that she can explore on her own, that might be best for her. Dog parks might be pretty intimidating for her, but we haven't tried yet. She has been slightly apprehensive with my husband, but he reassures her and she's totally okay with him once he pets her and talks to her. Overall, she has been an incredibly easy foster for us, and we just wish she didn't have to be scared sometimes! She does still jump or cower to unexpected noises or movements, but she's never been reactive and can be called over for pets immediately. We think she would do best in a quiet home with someone who just wants a BFF. She is much warmer to females, but warms up to men eventually. We know there is a perfect home out there for her, and she will be the perfect dog for someone! ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Lil Johnny is a wonderful little puppy! He is working on potty training, but really any accident he has in the house is right in front of the door to go outside. He knows where he needs to go, but we are just too late in getting him out. He is great in his kennel and loves to sleep and cuddle in bed at night! He is kenneled while his foster parents work during the day and keeps his kennel clean. He loves to play with the other pups in the house and has been around cats, but really doesn't pay any attention to them. He does know sit, but still working on other commands. He has the cutest, funny ears- one seems like it is broken . When he is excited, his entire body wags! He loves to play with toys and hard chew bones. Lil Johnny will make a fantastic addition to any family! ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Spirit Lake, IA I am Salem the Great, I am a sweet boy that will melt your heart. The heart print in his tiny nose and coat says it all. I loves my back scratches; I love to cuddle on the couch with my foster mom. I give the best puppy kisses and absolutely love to run with the big dogs. I am working sit, come and working really hard at potty training. I get really excited at times and pee, but I'm still as baby and still have things to learn. I do well in my kennel but will cry at first at night because I miss the snuggles, I do well in my kennel at night and when my foster mom goes to work, and get really excited when she gets home and I can run in the back yard with my foster brother Diesel. I am learning to walk with a leash, so I will be the perfect walking buddy. I am excited to meet you and find my furrrrever home. ------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
