Story
Meet Marti! Marti is a 5 year old, neutered, double merle, male, who came to us almost completely feral. He is a slightly pudgy 40 pounds, crate trained, house broke (but still leaks a little urine when sleeping although we haven't tried medication for that yet as it has been improving). As he is double merle he has some vision issues as well. Marti will need a very special owner that is willing to give him plenty of time to learn to trust. At his foster home Marti gets along with other dogs, is great with cats, and walks off leash in a rural setting. Marti is that lower energy aussie everyone's looking for and would like a quiet home. Marti will need more training in cooperative Care which his foster is working on and is easy to implement. The details: Needs Fence: Depends on setting (needs to gain trust to be leashed, fence necessary in busier area) Good With Dogs: Yes Good With People: Needs patience Good with cats: Yes All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $300 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.

Story
UPDATED BIO - Dodger is a year old neutered Red Tri Aussie with lots of copper and a white blaze on his chest. Dodger's history is unknown - he was a stray that had to be live trapped. Dodger loves his people and other dogs but is somewhat nervous in new environments. Like most dogs, once he realizes he's in a safe place he becomes very outgoing and bouncy! Dodger would do really well with another dog to play with. Even though Dodger could jump a shorter fence, he made no attempt to in one of his foster homes, always staying close to his foster Mom. A fenced yard would be beneficial, though, as Dodger hasn't had enough walks yet to realize how fun they are, and his history of running makes him a flight risk. Needs fence: Yes Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown - no exposure Good with kids: Teens or older All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $400 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. This dog is fostered in Crystal MN. Ariel is a 10 month old super mutt puppy. She appears to have some Lab, Border Collie and other breeds. She weighs about 45 pounds and will likely be around 60 pounds as an adult. Ariel loves to play toys and with her dog friends. She walks on a leash and is used to being on a cable run. She does fine in a 4 or 6 foot fence as well. She is a good girl and doesn’t bark at the horses. Ariel is learning to sit. She rides fine in the car too. Ariel is now fully house trained. She is good in a crate. Ariel is a great puppy and will do well with a variety of new friends.

Story
TS Colby Chaos, R 12E, L 75145Hi, I'm Colby! I love Allllll the rubs and leaning on people. On walks, I love when people stop to pet me and to visit shops for treats and pets. I like to independently play with toys too but my foster person says I haven't discovered that they squeak yet. I have a funny way of scratching my head using my leg (not foot, although I do use my foot, too). It is really quirky! I am very sweet, super curious, and a bit mischievous. I do like to counter surf and my foster says I might be a hoarder. I took her slippers into my kennel. I'm great in the car but I need help getting in. My foster says I'm interested in other dogs - staring them down, pulling hard, a few times spinning on leash - so she did not have me meet any yet. I'm probably just so curious about seeing other types of dogs that aren't greyhounds. Something I can work on with some help from my forever person. Something else I need to work on with your help is that I'm not a fan of having certain things taken away. Looking forward to meeting you! Personality Traits:   laid back, social, playful, independent, goofy, strong willed  To see other hounds currently in our care please visit the Hounds in Our Care page on our website.
