Story
Dexter is a sweetheart and likes to cuddle but he doesn’t get along the best with our other animals. We have another dog and three cats and he gets along with the other dog for the most part unless a toy or treat is involved. He gets along well with the cats unless they encroach on his space or what he thinks is his space. He’d most likely do the best in a single pet home. He’s energetic and is scared of strangers at first (barks and walks up to them super cautiously) but warms up to them over time.

Story
Penny's a 5yo 80lb lab/hound mix. She is an attention hoarder with a silly personality. She loves walks, treats, jumping in snow, playing with her fav duckie toy, and of course, car rides. She'll lay in bed with you, if you allow it, though she understands when she isn't allowed. She also likes to lick furniture, she even has her own "lick" chair (it's yours if you want it)! She's been around cats almost her entire life (came to us at 2.5mo), and has also been around other dogs (pomeranians and an American Eskimo). We have pet rats, which she has always ignored. She's not a fan of getting wet, and rainy days are the worst (she'll go potty in it, but will wait as long as possible), and she is allergic to ragweed, which gives her a belly rash. She's not a fan of being left home alone for long periods. She wants a lot of attention, but we have a special needs child who needs it more. She deserves to be with someone who can give her the attention that she wants, needs and deserves.

Story
Meet Miss Faith! She is a rambunctious, smart, sweet puppy. We estimate her to be almost 2 years old. She came to us from a severe neglect case, and was extremely skinny and unsocialized. She has come a long way since she was rescued, but still has a lot of learning to do. She loves her people once she trusts them, but has some insecurities, so slow introductions with people are key. She loves to snuggle, give kisses, and spend time chilling on the couch. She also loves to fetch and go for walks. Essentially, she is a puppy in a 2 year old body, that loves to love but has a lot of world to discover!! By the way she LOVES men, so if you are a guy looking for a new furry companion, she is your girls!!!Faith is curently in a board and train facility in LaCrosse WI (this is where her meet and greet will occur), where they are teaching her to trust new people. She does great with men and will give you a longing look until you decide to come over and say hi. She is slower to meet women, but if you avoid initial eye contact at first, and use her name with treats, she adjusts quickly. She has learned that fellow furry friends are a great thing and LOVES to play! She needs a low energy, confident dog as dogs with aniexty only feed hers. Additionally, we would also recommend a home without young children. She is so powerful, that littles may get knocked over during play time. We think with more training and discipline, she could settle into a home with older kids, but now she just has too much enery behind her love. Ideally, we are looking for a patient, disciplined adopter that can help Faith learn and grow the proper way to associate with her humans and canine friends. We know she can be a champion for her breed, and we want a family that will help her do that. She is a determined, smart, goofy girl that needs boundaries and rules to learn how life works and teach her the tools to be successful! Please at least consider a meeting to see if she is a good fit for you. We think she is truly a diamond in the rough, that deserves to have a loving family! Faith's adoption fee is $475 and will arrive fully vetted, altered, and microchipped. If interested in Faith, please fill out an application at www.newbeganimalrescue.org ##989459##

Story
Zeus came to us 2 years ago from a poor living situation of being chained up outside 24/7. He is a chill super cuddly dog who would love to spend his days napping on the couch with you. Despite loving nap time, he also loves playing fetch and going for walks. He walks like a perfect gentleman with the use of either his collar or gentle leader! He has been camping and swimming. Zeus is 100% potty trained, crate trained, knows basic commands, neutered, fully vaccinated, and is excellent with kids. However, Zeus does not do well with other large dogs, especially male dogs. He has gotten into two fights with our resident large male dog. He also lives with 3 chihuahuas and 2 cattle dogs and there have been no issues with them. Note he is also food aggressive with other dogs (not humans) so he will need to be fed in kennel or another room. For the safety of our dog(s) at home we have made the difficult decision to rehome Zeus, preferably to live as a single dog in a household.

Story
Meet Dragon, the charismatic 7-year-old pup who's ready to bring laughter and love into your home! Dragon is a bundle of energy with a heart of gold, always ready to play fetch or cuddle up for some quality time. He's been our cherished companion since birth, but with a new baby on the way and our senior dog nearing the end of his journey, we're seeking a loving family who can give Dragon the attention he thrives on. We would love for him to have a sibling dog, if possible. Dragon adores chew toys and interactive games, and he's a natural with children, making him the perfect match for a family looking for a furry friend to grow up alongside their little ones. He has a mild chicken allergy but thrives on Diamond Naturals chicken-free food. Dragon enjoys the freedom to roam during the day (no kennel) and would do best in a home with a fenced yard, as he loves to explore. If you're looking for a cuddly companion who will enrich your life with joy and cuddles, Dragon is the dog for you!
