Story
Bridget (4) is an energetic but snuggly girl. Her favorite things when playing are balls, water and light. When she’s inside she loves to be on you snuggling up close. She is currently in a home with the following. Kids from ages 5-16 - does well with the kids on a normal basis. Do have to watch when playing as she gets carried away and will try to grab things aggressively. Cats (4 of them) - no issues, she like to chase them to play but stops when you tell her to leave it and has never tried harming them. 2 dogs - one female one male. She is great with our other male terrier but MUST HAVE slow introductions Rehoming due to her sneaking out of the yard and going after other dogs in the neighborhood. We are also a big camping family and she tries going after the other animals.

Story
Dexter is a sweetheart and likes to cuddle but he doesn’t get along the best with our other animals. We have another dog and three cats and he gets along with the other dog for the most part unless a toy or treat is involved. He gets along well with the cats unless they encroach on his space or what he thinks is his space. He’d most likely do the best in a single pet home. He’s energetic and is scared of strangers at first (barks and walks up to them super cautiously) but warms up to them over time.

Story
Zeus came to us 2 years ago from a poor living situation of being chained up outside 24/7. He is a chill super cuddly dog who would love to spend his days napping on the couch with you. Despite loving nap time, he also loves playing fetch and going for walks. He walks like a perfect gentleman with the use of either his collar or gentle leader! He has been camping and swimming. Zeus is 100% potty trained, crate trained, knows basic commands, neutered, fully vaccinated, and is excellent with kids. However, Zeus does not do well with other large dogs, especially male dogs. He has gotten into two fights with our resident large male dog. He also lives with 3 chihuahuas and 2 cattle dogs and there have been no issues with them. Note he is also food aggressive with other dogs (not humans) so he will need to be fed in kennel or another room. For the safety of our dog(s) at home we have made the difficult decision to rehome Zeus, preferably to live as a single dog in a household.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please help us by fostering  TODAY!!!!! ________________________________________________________ We try to evaluate  most of our adoptable dogs temperament  with a senior UDR rescuer before it goes into a foster home. This helps ensure we place it in the right foster home. We may have some dogs in rescue who are not on our website that we are getting to know and who may need a foster home. Our goal is to place dogs in the right foster and adoptive homes! Of course it is up to the fosters to further evaluate the dogs while they are living in the home.  New arrivals coming soon! We partner with Doberman Rescue of Northern Texas, High Desert Doberman Rescue and many other rescues across the US and world. We have new Dobermans coming in often and have the ability to take in a homeless Dobermans the same day we are contacted should we get a surrender request. We can always use fosters to be on the ready to foster one of these new arrivals!         Please apply on our website to foster, or give a shout out if you can help any of these dogs!! As always fosters get the first chance to adopt! You provide a safe, loving home with daily structure until your foster dog gets adopted. Time frame is anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months. If you have a dog, your dog may like a friend. We try match up the dog with the foster home best suited for each dog in need. UDR supplies all the dog food, some supplies and always pays for vet care. Going on vacation and worried you will have to find a place for your foster dog?? NO worries!!!Know we DO have numerous options for vacation boarding and doing temporary fostering of your foster dog while you take that much needed vacation. We are also in need of short term fosters, those foster homes who would take in a foster dog on a short term basis, a weekend, a week or two, even to help in emergency or medical situations. Please fill out our foster application today and help a dog in need!!!  Fosters get first chance to adopt their foster dogs, so this might be a great way to "test" out your new friend. Fostering has its perks!! Many fosters do join the foster failure club, meaning they end up adopting their foster dog! Why should I foster a dog? Fostering a dog is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have (other than adopting, of course). By taking an animal in need temporarily into your home you’re: freeing up a spot so a shelter can take in another dog. giving your foster dog the time he needs to be ready for adoption. helping us learn more about the dog so he can end up in the best home possible. socializing the dog to a home environment and possibly getting him used to being around other pets and different types of people. Thank you for helping us help them! Fostering saves lives. Be a hero, foster a dog in need! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Gizmo, a 2 year old Lab X, a little man with a BIG personality and a heart full of love. This adorable pup has earned himself several affectionate nicknames, including 'Mo', 'G', and 'G-man', all stemming from his original name, Gizmo. Giz man's unique blend of charm and determination makes him an absolute delight to be around. G gets along famously with other dogs and knows how to hold his ground when necessary. He's a real softie at heart, especially when it comes to snuggling up in cozy blankets, which he loves to messily rearrange to create the perfect resting spot. He even believes he's a pro bed-maker and is always ready to lend a helping paw! When it comes to playtime, G's energy and curiosity come to life. He's an avid chewer, so soft stuffed animals are a no-go, but he's all about hard chew toys that keep him entertained. He may not be a fan of water, avoiding the family pool and lakes, but he takes full advantage of sunny days to relax and explore the yard, sniffing to his heart's content. G is no stranger to adventure, enjoying car rides from short trips to the barn to long journeys all the way to Florida. He's a smart boy who knows his basic commands and walks well on a leash after a brief initial pulling phase. However, his stubborn streak may show itself from time to time, but it only adds to his endearing personality. This playful guy has a keen sense of hearing, which makes him attentive to every sound, though he's selective with his barks. He might make a great hunting partner? G loves the thrill of the chase and can't resist going after birds, squirrels, and rabbits in the yard. He's also fascinated by frogs and toads, often thinking they'd make for a tasty snack if given the chance! Yuck! While he may coexist with a cat, G-Mo has to be kept separate due to his natural instinct to chase when the cat runs. However, when it comes to people, he's a sweet and friendly companion, albeit a little shy initially. But that shyness quickly fades away, especially if treats are involved. This wonderful boy is up-to-date with vaccinations, neutered and chipped, ensuring he stays healthy and happy. If you're looking for a four-legged friend to bring love and laughter into your life, G-Man might be the perfect addition to your family. With his loving nature and mischievous charm, he's sure to win your heart in no time!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 11, 2024, 11:14 am

Story
Location: Maple Grove MN My name is Genevieve, and I am a cat; but I've tricked everyone into thinking that I'm a dog. It took me a while to master the skills, but I'm so brilliant that I've figured out how to make everyone think I'm a dog. I've learned how to walk on a leash, and I really love going on walks now. I've also learned how to bark to express all of my opinions. But since I am a cat, you can trust that I have many opinions to tell the world about. My uncle is a goat, so I enjoy tearing up and eating soft toys. And my aunt is a racoon, so I've learned how to watch people VERY carefully at a distance to decide if I can trust them. It'll take me a little while to learn how to trust my future new family, but since my foster family figured out how to earn my love, I know my forever family can figure it out too. I am wicked smart like any cat, so I know where to do my business, and I love training and playing with humans. Since I live with other dogs, I have also learned from them how to sleep in a kennel at night and when my foster family is away. My absolute favorite thing to do is to play with dogs. I depend on dogs to guide me on what to do, since I'm not so sure about new humans. So my new family must have another dog in the home for me to learn from. As much as I love playing with dogs, little kids make me very nervous. Their fast movements can be scary, so it's best I'm in a home with kids 8+ years old or kids that demonstrate proper dog etiquette. Since I am a cat, I prioritize my personal boundaries, and I need a family who will let me decide when I want to interact with people. But once I know I can trust you (just like the 2 kids in my foster home today), I will give you some serious side eye while also demanding your neck scratches and belly rubs and treats, just like any self-respecting cat. If you are looking for the world's most interesting cat, I am your girl! (PS: don't tell my foster family; they really believe I'm a dog. ) -------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
