This beautiful pup is about 4 months old....just as sweet as they come.  Sable loves attention and to play.  Super good in the crate and has been doing wonderfully with the potty training.  Sable is one of 7 pups....we took in Sable along with her sister, Ivy and brother, Jackson.  Sable would love another playful pup to grow up with.   Sable is available for Foster to Adopt (FTA).  She will be spayed and receive her updated vaccines on 29 Aug; Sable will be looking for a home after that if she hasn't been placed in a FTA home. ##2139106##

Story
This striking pup is about 5 months old....lovable and playful.  Ivy is good in the crate and has been doing wonderfully with the potty training.  Ivy came from a litter of 7 pups....we took in Ivy along with her sister, Sable, and brother, Jackson.  Ivy loves to cuddle and be close but she is also happy running exploring the yard and outside places.  No doubt she'll enjoy some nice walks, hiking, and especially loving pets and belly rubs. Since Ivy loves to play and run around in the yard, having another playful pup to grow up with would be great for her.  A family who enjoys the outdoors would make her happy, too!   ##2139107##

Story
Carly is an 8.5-year-old bundle of love. She’s crate trained, housebroken, and knows basic commands like sit, stay, and come. She walks nicely on a leash and absolutely loves being close to her person—whether it’s playing, going on walks, or curling up on the couch together. Carly is a sensitive girl with a big heart. She thrives with structure and companionship, and she may do best in a home with another dog to help ease her anxiety. While she can be a little protective on walks and around her food, she’s eager to please and would benefit from continued guidance and patience. She’s also a bit of a storm-phobe but responds well when she feels safe and supported.  Carly is friendly with everyone she meets but may be cautious around some men. She’s especially good with grooming and nail trims and has been around teenage kids. Though she prefers not to be left alone outside—she’s a bit of a fence-climber—her loyalty and sweet nature more than make up for it. She’s looking for a calm, loving home where she can be someone’s loyal companion. Carly has so much love to give and can’t wait to find her perfect match!  ##2239027##

Story
This sweet girl loves everything food-related, treats, toys, you name it. She’s crate-trained and super playful, especially with other dogs. She’s not quite sure what to think about cats and kittens yet. She’s incredibly fast and will give you a workout if she slips through your hands. Baths? Not her favorite. But if there’s a dry towel, a cozy crate, and a treat waiting, she’ll forgive you. She’s got a bottomless appetite and a knack for frequent bathroom breaks, so stay on your toes—when she says she’s gotta go, she means now! Her favorite pastime? Playing non-stop! Just be warned: she’s like a little kid—sometimes she’s having so much fun she forgets she’s potty training. Mindy is sweet and loves some one-on-one cuddle time, but don’t expect it to last too long—she’s got a busy play schedule to keep up with! Mindy is a whole lot of love, energy, and fun all rolled into one adorable pup! ##2216364##

Story
This little one is about 4 pounds but his sweetness is equal to 1000 pounds!  Kingsley is so cute, tiny, cuddly, and loving!  We're looking for a very special home for this tiny one; preferably with older children, settled household, and no larger dogs. Kingsley needs a comfortable lap and a warm, cozy bed. This poor pup already had 22 teeth pulled so only wet food for him. Kinglsey is good with dogs as long as they don't play rough or try to step on him!  Not sure about the furry felines though. ##2278339##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Woody has such a big heart! Once he bonds with “his” people, those bonds are extremely strong.... but it does take time. He warms up faster to women than men, but men are a close second; ultimately, he bonds strong with both. Woody will give the family that’s patient and the “right match” much joy and unconditional love. Woody tends to be insecure, and he can be very nervous and anxious in new situations or around new people. We believe this is because when he was a young dog he was bounced from location to location. He came to VA by way of NC. Once in VA he was at two different shelters and with two different rescue organizations before coming to The Furever Project. Our organization is committed to fining this loving, goofy, insecure guy his forever home. Woody’s ideal home is going to have lots of space and must have a fenced yard where he can run and play (no apartment or townhouse living for this guy). Woody would not do well in a home with young children. When he gets excited (and he does get the zoomies) it’s hard for him to put on the brakes quickly and he would easily knock down young children. Woody would benefit greatly from being in a home where daily exercise is priority. He does enjoy going for long walks and/or long runs and he can definitely go the distance! Woody does take daily medication to help with a mix of anxiety and high-energy. Woody will do best in a home with a routine and structure. He’s very observant. When things change up on Woody, it can be hard for him to adjust. You can tell he’s trying to figure out what’s going on when the wrinkles appear in his forehead, and he looks from side-to-side trying to figure out why things are different. Woody is extremely intelligent and a very fast learner. He loves working on trick training which can be a lot of fun. Woody would be a joy, and in some respects a challenge, for anyone who enjoys and is passionate about training! Woody does live with other dogs but he requires slow, controlled introductions. Because of this, Woody is not a candidate for dog parks. Woody plays hard and is vocal (barking) during play, but only during play. Doggie siblings would need to be tolerant of his style of play. Woody has been with us for over two years now and waiting for a home of his own for at least three years or more. We believe there is a home for every dog. Could Woody’s home be with you?  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 12:24 pm
