Story
Benny was returned to us at the age of 8 months through no fault of his own. He had never been set boundaries or taught basic obedience. He has been with a trainer to learn these skills. Although he is still a work in progress, the ideal solution would be for him to be in a home environment where he can practice his skills daily. Benny has transitioned to a home environment and is thriving! He shows no signs of aggression and interacts well with dogs of all sizes. He appears to understand the need to be gentle with smaller or older dogs. When it comes to cats, he's friendly, although he tends to chase them if they run-it's all in good fun! An encounter with a non-fleeing cat suggests he's playful rather than harmful. Benny is also comfortable around children of various ages and has significantly improved his play manners with other dogs. Currently, he's mastering his recall skills, walks quite well on a leash, and is familiar with the commands 'sit' and 'down' (still perfecting these), as well as 'wait'. Benny is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Ideal home is an active family with the ability to set consistent boundaries especially while he's learning and helping reinforce. His adoption fee is $350. WWW.mainstreetmuttrescue.com under adopt if you are interested in applying!

Story
Riley is a high energy dog that is very protective and has been described as a bit of a diva in our local dog group. She is extremely affectionate and loves to have your undivided attention whenever she sees fit. Riley does great around most other dogs and loves to socialize at the dog park with her friends. We acquired Riley from some neighbors that had an unplanned litter and did not have the space to take care of them. Riley is two years old, housetrained, and with a confident owner has been very trainable if only a little strong willed.

Story
Meet Lady She's about 1 1/2 and came to us with her six babies. She is a great dog but does need some work...which we are working on while we have her. The Good!!! Housebroke has decent recall in the yard and house (we don't allow off leash outside of fenced area) Loves to be paid attention too good with dogs okay with cats but will chase outside...so for that better for her to have no cats crate trained will go in the crate with a simple command Loves to go on walks and adventtures Awesome in the car...loves to go!!! Good in the house but we do crate when not home...just better for everyone! The things to work on Pulls on leash Needs time to accept a man ...we are working on this getting her out in the world and its worst with a bearded, sunglasses and hat on...however the GOOD part is she will bond to men..she had many in the foster home she was in. Chases cats Lady has the best lovely personality...she's funny and playful...wants to please and is obsessed with food! All she needs is time to become more confident with men .....we see nothing in her that makes us think she won't reach her full potential! And did you know we have a trainer that will offer support if you have any problems....we can even include a few sessions on what you want to work on to help set you up for success. I wasn't thrilled to have her come to my house because I have two very senior and ill dogs...but in 24 hours she won me over and I love her soul! Applications are at www.mainstreetmuttrescue.com Adoption fee is $325 and she's spayed, up to date on vaccines and chipped
