Story
Meet Kingston!Kingston is a charming boy who thrives on love, attention, and, of course, plenty of pets. He's looking for a calm yet active family who can match his energy and provide the structure he needs to shine. A home with a yard would be ideal, giving him space to stretch his legs and enjoy some outdoor fun.Kingston would do best in a quiet, adult-only household. He plays well with another dog in care, and could do well in a home with another canine. Kingston has a rougher playstyle and would do best with a patient and equally playful dog. Although, proper introductions will be essential for setting him up for success in any canine friendship. This energetic guy will benefit from ongoing obedience training and leash work, which will not only help him grow but also create a wonderful bonding experience with his new family. If you're ready to open your heart and home to Kingston, he'll reward you with endless love and loyalty. Come meet this sweet bulldog today and see if he's your perfect match. Do you think you could be Kingston's person? Here are some ways to find out:1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Story
Meet Maya!Maya is a sweet and energetic girl looking for her forever home. She came into our care after her previous owners could no longer care for her and is now ready to start a new chapter with a family who will include her in all their adventures. Maya thrives on companionship and will need adopters who can be with her most of the day, as she experiences separation anxiety. She can be jumpy when she's excited, so adopters who can handle her enthusiasm would be the best match. This playful pup loves staying active and is happiest when tagging along for any activities. She especially enjoys playing with a frisbee and would make a fantastic adventure buddy for a family that can match her energy and love for fun. If you're looking for a loyal companion to share your life with, Maya might be the perfect match! 💖🐾Do you think you could be Maya's person? Here's how to meet her:1.) Story
Meet Momo, a sweet and gentle little girl who came into care as a stray and is now searching for her forever home. Momo is a loving companion who enjoys meeting most people, but she can be a bit reserved around men and will need some time to warm up and feel comfortable. She's looking for a patient family who will allow her to get to know them at her own pace.Momo has some separation anxiety, so she would thrive in a home where her people can be around for most of the day. While she loves spending time with her family, Momo isn't the biggest cuddler. However, she absolutely adores a good scratch behind the ears and a big belly rub. If you're looking for a dog who enjoys some quality time with you but isn't overly clingy, Momo may be the perfect fit!Momo has gotten along well with a smaller dog in care, but she can be a little nervous around larger dogs. A proper introduction would be ideal if she's going to be living with another similarly sized dog. With her soft, curly coat, Momo requires professional grooming and regular brushing to keep her looking her best.If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will bring joy and affection to your life, Momo may just be the dog you've been waiting for! Come meet her and see if she's the right fit for your home. 🍑🐾Do you think you could be Momo's person? Here's how to meet her:1.) Story
Runners, Joggers, Hikers and outdoor enthusiasts; Are you looking for an active boy to keep you exploring? This lovable lab is looking to find a home that has lots of time for exercise and adventures. He was not often walked on a leash and is learning leash manners that his new guardian will need to continue working on. He does have a strong pull, but with proper equipment (harness), we are currently working on "Focus" and "Wait", which he is responding to very well. Food and balls are the keys to his heart. He is young, highly food motivated and eager to learn. Loki would prefer a home with a nice big yard where he can run and play. He LOVES to fetch and is doing really well learning basic commands (sit, stay etc). If Loki could speak, his favorite word would be "BALL". He is absolutely fetch obsessed, is great with retrieving and releasing and would chase after that thing all day if he was allowed to.Loki has really blossomed in shelter and loves to be with people. He can be a bit shy at first, but with a little praise and toys, this boy will be your instant best friend. He is very affectionate and enjoys full body pets. He listens well, and won't jump on the couch even when asked. He is very polite in a home setting, and although very food motivated, has shown great restraint when food has been on the counter and nobody is watching! He is a typical excitable lab and can be chatty when left alone, so an apartment style living wouldn't be ideal for him. Loki would be okay with older children (12+) and would be best as the only dog in the home. Loki used to live with cats and would be okay with cats provided safe introductions are done. Do you think you could be Loki's person? Here are some ways to find out: 1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or 2.)
