Story
This is Lola. Shes a 6yr old Lab Mix (I was told) I got from the Nebraska Humane Society. Lola would be a good dog to a single or couple household with no small animals. With a few big life events happening in my life, she isn't coping well at home. She needs more training and attention than I can give her, and I don't want to take her back to the shelter. She can be very anxious when it comes to loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms. Lola can be a very independent dog but she can also be very lovely to the right person (couple).

Story
He was adopted in March from the local humane society. He's about 3 1/2 years old (to our knowledge). His new family will have a yard that he can play in or the ability to take him to wide open spaces. He would do well with someone who knows the needs of a heeler, most likely someone who has had one in the past/present. He needs lots of exercise or different types of enrichment or else he'll find something to get into (and destroy). He's a very loving dog and we've only had positive things to say about him. With our current jobs, we are not able to get him the exercise he needs to be the best boy he can be. He loves to cuddle when it's bed time but he's also happy with laying on a hard floor. Since being in our care, he's met every dog with an open mind and is happy to play with anyone who will play with him back.

Story
My name is Murphy and I am a gorgeous brindle boy.  Per my DNA test I'm 37% American pitbull terrier, 12% Australian cattle dog and 7% Labrador retriever. I am a good boy, sadly I've been at the shelter for a long time :( and here is what you need to know:  I need a home with a great leader who can continue my current routines, I'm kennel trained and muzzle trained if you live in an area where i need to wear a muzzle to go for walk. I know sit, down, wait, I love walks and hikes, car rides, belly rubs under the sun, eating ice, doing zoomies on the snow, and I love people!  I have a high prey drive so no small dogs or cats for me. I like children but I think it's best that I live with older ones as I might be a little too strong for them. If you think I can come to your house and show you what a good boy I am, please reach out and let's meet!   Thank you!!!  Love, Murphy.  Thanks to our amazing Angel Sponsors, our long term pups now come with reduced adoption fees, alleviating financial road blocks for some, and making it even easier to open your heart and home to a furry friend. The adoption fee is $100 plus tax and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter and a home training session.  Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only during the social distancing stage of quarantine.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Humane Society and our mission. ##960891##

Story
Meet Cash, the 83-pound hunk of staffie mix – a living testament to the saying, "Big dogs, big hearts, bigger appetites." Cash is a master of basic commands, but occasionally practices selective hearing. The way to Cash’s attention is through his stomach - which makes the staff feel he is highly trainable. On walks, Cash is a sniffing Sherlock Holmes, investigating everything thoroughly, so it may be a zigzagging adventure until he has a chance for more training. And when it comes to wildlife, Cash's high prey drive transforms him into a canine Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Backyard Squirrel, so a good harness leash is recommended. Cash's quirks are balanced by moments of pure zen. Imagine quiet evenings with Cash, the cuddle aficionado, offering generous kisses and turning your downtime into the best part of the day.Stubborn at times, sure, but Cash's charm lies in his personality. He's not just a dog; he's a comedic companion, adding laughter and love to every day. Ready for a treat-filled, adventure-packed life? Adopt Cash – because life's better with an 83-pound bundle of joy.  For more information, visit https://townandcountryhumanesociety.org/ Thanks to our amazing Angel Sponsors, our long term pups now come with reduced adoption fees, alleviating financial road blocks for some, and making it even easier to open your heart and home to a furry friend. Story
Wyatt is a sweet 7 year old Hound mix. He loves walks and CUDDLES and loves being by your side all the time. He does struggle with some anxiety and can be distrustful of men at first but will eventually warm up to them. Wyatt came from a very anxious home and would thrive in a home that can help him at his speed. He loves all of the attention he can get, and would love a home where he can have a nightly cuddle session before bedtime. He would make the perfect office dog.  Wyatt isn't the biggest fan of going to the vet, so he is muzzle trained for his safety and the safety for the vet and their staff. You couldn't ask for a sweeter dog. The adoption fee is $275 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. If you want to meet Wyatt, please send send an inquiry from Petfinder or send an email to email@townandcountryhumanesociety.org.   They will provide you the information to submit an application.   We are limiting adopters on the property to maintain social distancing so you will be invited to meet your match AFTER the application has been reviewed and approved.  At that time, you will be introduced to him by a one of our dog counselors.  They will help with ensuring he's the right pet for you.  If so, you will be invited to complete the adoption.    Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee prior to application submission.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.
