Story
I love this precious little lady! She showed up at a nice couple’s home and they asked us if we could take her into our rescue. A few weeks later I got to noticing that her waistline was getting a little bigger. On October 27th she graced us with 4 beautiful puppies. Haley was a terrific mother…she raised her puppies and now she’s ready for a great new life of her own. She is a super sweet, happy and good natured girl and she loves everybody. She is also pretty active and loves to play and have a big time, so she will require exercise. That being said, she will make a great hiking or running partner…she might even make an agility dog with some training. Although her pictures make her look big, she only weighs 40 pounds, which is a great size. Haley is 2 years old, has been spayed, microchipped, 4DX heartworm tested, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Haley is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

Story
I love this precious little guy! He is absolutely stunning with his beautiful brown, tan and white shiny coat and his super sweet, happy, playful and very loveable personality. They get along great with other dogs & they are good with kids. They always have a big time playing with each other, but they aren’t so rambunctious that you can’t love on them. Hershey is the most friendly and outgoing pup in the bunch. He and his siblings were actually born here, so you could say that I’ve known them their whole life. Their Mom showed up at a nice couple’s home and they asked us if we could take her into our rescue. A few weeks later I noticed that her waistline was getting a little bigger. A few weeks later she graced us with 4 beautiful puppies. Their Mom is a small 35 pound Shepherd mix and from the looks of things, their Dad was a Lab. Hershey will make some lucky family a wonderful companion. He is 4 ½ months old (dob 10/27/23) and weighs around 28 pounds at the time of this posting (3/14/24). He has been neutered, microchipped, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and on heartworm and flea prevention. His adoption fee is $400. Hershey is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted he will be transported to his pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and his fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

"Melody is a lovely girl with lots of love to give. She is friendly, affectionate, loyal, playful, smart, curious, funny, athletic and quiet all in one! She is a very dignified dog but can be a bit of a couch potato too, and she definitely loves her doggie kisses. Melody is a lovely, unique girl and I'm sure she will bring lots of joy to her new owners. She came into rescue with her 4 babies and was a wonderful mom. She just completed heartworm treatment and is a happy girl. She gets along with other dogs but would love to be the only dog in the home so that she can receive all the love and attention from her new family. She is a very special girl and all she needs if to find the right home." Melody is two and a half years old, weighs 52#, is spayed, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is 400.00

Story
Roland   Male, Boxer/Collie, Age 1.5 years (11/6/2022), Weight 42 pounds   Say hello to Roland, a good boy whose shy first impression quickly melts away to reveal a heart brimming with love. He might need a moment to get comfortable, but once he does, he’s all about showing affection and pleasing his people. Roland's treat of choice? Milk bones—and he's always eager to show off his skills with "sit," "stay," and "down" to earn one. Roland's playfulness shines when he's around other dogs, joyfully engaging with every toy in sight, from stuffed animals to rope toys and balls. He's curious about everything around him, always ready for a new adventure or a sweet petting session. And when the day winds down, nothing makes him happier than snuggling up for a movie night with his foster family. He even gets along wonderfully with the resident cat! While Roland's training isn't extensive yet, he's a quick learner with a sharp mind, ready to absorb all the lessons and love you have to offer. With a bit of patience and lots of affection, Roland will no doubt become a loyal and cherished companion. If you're looking for a sweet soul to fill your days with playful adventures and cozy evenings, Roland might just be your perfect match.   Good with Dogs, Kids and Cats Crate Trained House training in progress     * The adoption fee of $200 helps cover age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, deworming and microchipping and transport to Hagerstown, MD;  Milford PA; Plantsville CT; or Warwick RI.    * The application is the first step in all inquiries and adoptions     Canine Compassion Fund - Online Adoption Application www.caninecompassionfund.org/Forms/OnlineAdoptionApplication   * Additional information is available on our site caninecompassionfund.org July 13, 2024, 5:54 pm
