Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! From the foster: 796, affectionately known as Georgie is a sweet, quirky little low rider. George adores his toys, treats, and playing with the resident dogs; regularly wrestling and snuggling with both. A smart little guy, he is potty trained and knows how to use a doggy door. Georgie is very shy with people at first and takes his cues from the dogs around him. He is a barker, and would do well in a house with other dogs and a doggy door. George’s space needs to be respected by everyone in the home and he needs to be given the time to approach and request attention. He can be reactive with new people and does not like being picked up or approached but does like to follow his person around the house. Georgie has warmed up and when his person is sitting on the couch he will happily launch himself to their space to get belly rubs. Petting sessions are frequently stopped to give him the option to opt into further attention (this looks like stopping petting and holding out hand), he lets you know he wants attention by laying on you or lifting his paw/gently putting his paw on your hand. He is incredibly sweet when given the space to be himself. It has been a joy watching him warm up and become more confident. His perfect home would have at least one other dog, no children, and would give allow him to approach his new people at his own pace. A yard with tall wooden fence and doggy door is also a necessity as this smart boy knows how to climb metal rungs to escape and does not allow/trust people enough to put a collar or harness on him yet. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! From the foster: My nickname in my foster home is Stitch. Just like stitch, I am a true sweetie and I have the biggest eyes and cutest ears! I am being given a report card to describe just how incredible of a pup I am. Potty Training 7/10. I am pretty good about going potty outside. I go outside every hour. I poop about 30 minutes after eating. Snuggles 15/10. She gets extra credit for laying on our laps and just laying her head on our laps. She is a little love. Appetite 10/10. I eat all of my food without issue. I am food motivated and learning to sit. I would benefit from using a slow bowl and I do like to inhale my food. If you have another dog, separate feeding areas may help so she learns her boundaries. Playfulness: I am very playful and love toys. I also love the snow and enjoy playing outside. I would do best in a home with a yard so I can play and get my zoomies out. Crate 7/10. I work from home so they are not in the crate very often. They are good about staying in the restricted area in my office and will calm down and sit quietly. Night time: I sleep through the night with a diaper on. This is usually the only time I have an accident. If you want to wake up around 12:00 and 3:00, I would need to go potty then. I sleep in a dog bed near my foster parents without any issues. Overall score: 100% loyal companion. She is sharp and full of personality. She is super soft and just overall playful. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! From the foster: #880 “Merry” is the perfect combination of independent explorer and lap dog! She’s curious and loves to explore, but will pause and crawl into your lap to get some scratches and a cuddle! Like her sister, she’s very good about going to the bathroom as soon as you let her outside. There have been very few accidents in the house thanks to a good potty routine! She has been sleeping in the crate with her sister through the night and loves to run around the living room and play with squeaky chew toys during the day! She also loves to wrestle with her sister, but wants to be in charge - definite big sister vibes! Keep lots of chew toys handy because this girl is teething! She has also loved Kong toys stuffed with a bit of peanut butter to keep her occupied and her mind active! She has been loving her ball and is learning how to play fetch. Then, after all that playtime, she’s ready for a nap! If you’re ready for your next best friend and adventure partner, Merry is your girl!! is the perfect combination of independent explorer and lap dog. She’s curious and loves to explore, but will pause to get some good scratches. She’s doing a great job of going potty outside, and will take care of her business as soon as you let her out. She loves to wrestle with her sister, but wants to be in charge - definite big sister vibes. She’s great with older kids and is finding her voice to communicate her needs. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! From the foster: Puppy #845, Badger, is a dynamic boy in so many ways! Let’s first admire his amazing looks because that brindle fur makes him so so handsome! That white patch on his chest is a touch of cuteness especially when he is soaking in the tummy rubs! His latest feature is his stylish ears! They went from down to up in no time! So pardon the variety of pictures, the photo shoot has both styles of ears going on! His personality makes him quite a character! He did bring his sisters out of their scared shelves and gave them the confidence to be outgoing, play, and explore! He has loved on them and plays so nice! He likes to play and rough and tumble but then wants his human bonding time! He will give the best kisses and will hang out on my lap soaking up the attention! He really draws you in when he sits so nice and just stares into your eyes! Heart melting! Badger is a great puppy! He is a puppy though so those teeth once in a while will clamp and he doesn’t quite realize how sharp they are. He is learning and does great when introduced with toys and redirection! He loves to sleep on the puppy pile of his littermates all in the comfy dog bed! He will snooze away but when he hears you he might even give a few howls to let you know he is ready for action. He has been kept in a puppy pen and has done pretty well with puppy pads. He has been really taken outside consistently so the potty training has been started with outside opportunities. He is hit or miss with eating! Sometimes he is hungry and sometimes not so much. We take it at his pace! Badger is going to really shine as he grows and the characteristics he has now are already so enduring and loving! He is such a great boy and he is definitely ready for his new Colorado life! He is ready to love on his humans and create that permanent bond! He will aim to please and is motivated to learn! He will sure be missed in this foster home! He is amazing and we are so happy for him to find his furever family! *Will be available after 12/26/24* www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! From the foster: Mash Tater (Mash) is a love! He plays hard and loves his toys. Mash came to us with a newly fixed pelvis that was broken from unknown injuries and recently recovered from Demodex (not contagious). He is all cleared and his fur is growing back, but his fur was in terrible shape and will take several months to regrow back to normal. Mash is our very first foster and if we did not have a reactive dog in the house, we would be foster fails. He wants everyone he sees on walks to greet him including canine friends. He does bark and he is mouthy, but he is working hard to be better (He responds very well to clicker training). Since he is a Bull Terrier, he is VERY active and energetic. At only 7 months old he is still very much a puppy with a lot of puppy energy and tends to not know personal space, so having him around dogs that can tolerate that behavior while training is ideal. He wants to be outside with his people. He is hilarious when he romps around the backyard with his toys. Mash is going to make a family very happy! Since he's still very mouthy and very energetic Mash will not be going home to a family with children under 8. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! From the foster: Hi! I am a very sweet and calm little puppy. I like to observe and take in all of my surroundings. It takes me a little while to warm to up to strangers but once I do, I am social and playful! I love company and like to snuggle. I eat well two times and day and I have been very good with potty training. If I need to go inside, I have always gone on the puppy pads. I sleep in my crate at night with very little whining. I am gentle and patient with big and small children. I also enjoy being around other dogs. I had a lot of fun playing outside in the recent snow! I am super loveable and excited to find my forever home!! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
