Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Hi – they call me Bubas.  I spent 4 months in a shelter.  They named me Bubas. I checked out of the vet with a clean bill of health, but they recommended some meds for fear and anxiety.  You see, I was found wandering the streets, so I have a very mysterious background – my little secret.  But I can tell you this:  I am scared of a lot of things, especially men and strangers.  Strange Men are the Worst.    I have latched on to Foster Mom and will not leave her side – I don’t growl at Foster Dad anymore, so that’s a bit of progress. I enjoy playing with other dogs and my toys.  I’m good with middle aged to older kids, but the little ones have as much energy as I do and they make me a bit nervous.  Besides, I’m big enough to knock them down when I’m just trying to play with them. I am slowly learning manners and commands and getting better with time.  I’m learning to walk on a harness and leash – regular collars make me alligator roll to get out of them.  I am house trained and crate trained. Here is my idea of the perfect home:  Great Dane Experience, female only household, my people to be home more than not, lots of patience and love, another big dog to pal around with and whom I can learn from,  interest in helping me to learn how to bring out the Awesomeness that is inside of me, and some more love.  Please fill out an application and ask for me.November 6, 2024, 3:48 pm

Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Loki was recently saved from a breeder where he lived outdoors and was used as a stud. (We believe Loki may have Mastiff / Dane).  A guardian human angel rescued Loki and brought her into her home where he is temporarily living with 7 special needs dogs.  This amazing person has had Loki neutered and brought up to date on shots.  She has reached out to Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue to find a foster or foster-to-adopt home for sweet Loki. Loki has started house training and is staying indoors while he recovers from his neuter.  He a smart and learning new commands.  So far Loki has picked up on “sit” lay”.  Pretty impressive in such a short amount of time!  He is thriving with the attention.  Loki is described as playful, friendly, a clown and still has happy puppy in him.  He has good, moderate energy.  Prior to his surrender, he lived in a home with 4 children where it was reported he got along well with the kiddos. The ideal home for Loki:  A Giant Breed experienced home to show Loki what the Great Dane good life looks like!  Someone who will be patient and continue to work on all aspects of training, including walking on a leash and other day to day “Daning” indoors. Loki is a fast learner and has a wonderful temperament.  We believe in the right home with lots of love, this big boy will thrive! Thank you to Loki’s guardian angel, he is one step closer to living an amazing life – was Loki meant to find you? More about Loki: Neutered Male House Training (In progress) Crate Trained (unknown) Good with dogs Cats unknown Good with children* (*limited information on child ages and day to day interactions) Moderate energy Playful, friendly, clown Needs continued training – fast learner Needs leash training Home must of secure fenced yard Giant Breed experience required If you would like to foster or foster-to-adopt Loki Utah (Black w White Chest), submit your application today! Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Special Needs:  Daily heart medication ($18 per month) Kevin’s photos say so much about his past.  It is clear this boy has been let down before but we at RMGDRI want to help turn things around and provide the love and medical care Kevin deserves.  We are in need of a special foster family willing to support his recovery.  Because we have limited information on Kevin, the ideal home will have no other dogs or cats.  We will consider older, dog savvy teenagers but given limited history, a home with children is not ideal. Like most shelter surrenders, we have limited information on Kevin.  We know based on a vet examination, he will have significant health needs.  We as a rescue will cover his medical care.  We need a loving foster home that has the ability to take him to doctor appointments as needed and provide whatever medical care is required in the home.  We would like to get him out of the shelter as soon as possible.  Kevin will likely remain on medical hold (foster) status with the rescue due to his health needs. More about Kevin: Intact Male (Will be neutered by RMGDRI when medically cleared) House-trained unknown Create trained unknown No children (We have limited history on Kevin) Friendly to people / visitors No dogs (unknown history, shows some reactivity at shelter) No cats (unknown history, shows some reactivity at shelter) Fenced backyard required (unknown leash skills) Giant Breed Experience required due to history; Experience with medical / hospice needs preferred December 3, 2024, 5:36 pm

Story
Gretel is a courtesy post. Her people require a secure, 6ft fenced yard, breed experience, another dog who is compatible with Gretel and daily walks. Meet Gretel: A Shy Beauty with a Heart of Gold! Gretel is a stunning pup with a captivating personality that matches her striking good looks! Rescued alongside her siblings from a tough situation in Houston, Gretel has proven resilient, affectionate, and ready to embark on her next big adventure—a loving forever home. With her dazzling pale green eyes, sleek fawn coat, and irresistibly floppy ears, Gretel turns heads everywhere she goes. She may have a touch of hound or possibly Weimaraner in her mix, which gives her a regal yet playful charm.  Gretl is approx. one year old and weighs a whopping 35 pounds – a true pocket pitty! Gretel exudes a shy but curious demeanor. She has started to come out of her shell at her foster home but is still learning how to be a Colorado dog.  She is working really hard on being brave about going on hikes and being in the snow and cold.  She has come a long way but still prefers to stay inside with her human and snuggle – I mean after all she was dumped in a park to fend for herself – who wouldn’t want to never leave a cozy house!.  Her foster mom says she does not have a mean bone in her body and is working hard at getting braver everyday.  She is oh so smart and eager to learn and has already learned sit, down wait, and come.  She loves to snuggle with her foster siblings (dogs) and gets along with them well and other dogs out and about.  She is still getting comfortable playing with them because she gets shy.  She is great at self-entertaining.  Gretl is a sweet petite girl looking for a snuggle partner both human and dog.  She would probably be ok with cats as she is on the submissive side. Are you ready to welcome this green-eyed beauty into your life? Gretel is waiting to meet her perfect match—could it be you? Story
Jasmine, one of the gentlest and kindest dogs we have ever encountered, was dumped at an oil site near someone's property. For 6 months, Jasmine and her dog friend lived there and were able to survive because a lovely woman came to feed them every day. Because Jasmine and her male dog friend were not fixed, Jasmine gave birth to 10 puppies a few weeks ago. Sadly the male dog disappeared and so far has not been found. Please say some prayers that he shows up. Jasmine seems to recognize her good fortune and had many tail wags and kisses for the humans who helped her. She has such an affectionate nature. She is delighted to see humans and enjoys attention or a kind word or gentle touch. She loves being told what a pretty girl she is! She meets humans with a tail wag and affectionate nuzzle. Not crazy energy - just gentle and easy. Remarkably, Jasmine has not had one accident in her foster home and has been a very easy house guest! Her foster parents already taught her how to walk on leash and she doesn't pull or walk between your legs. We took Jasmine to the vet on the 2nd day we had her and the was such a good girl!! The vet said she was easy and sweet - not upset in the least! We learned that Jasmine had an injury to her eye at one point and once the puppies are weaned she will need to have her eye removed. (surgery is covered by the rescue and will be completed before adoption.) Some family is going to be very lucky to adopt this girl!! Jasime will be the most devoted companion and bring her new home so much joy! We are estimating Jasmine to be around 2 years old and 50 lbs. We are not certain of her breed but she appears to be mostly Lab and perhaps a sprinkle of Staffordshire or maybe Rottie or Doberman.  If you would like to adopt, please complete an application  at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   Please note, Circle 2 Rescue cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have limited history prior to them entering the rescue.  ##2264418##
