Story
weight 38 lbs age: 8 months as of 12/11/24 adoption donation: $599     Daphne is a super sweet and gentle girl. She loves cuddles and ear scratches. Daphne is shy and a bit insecure as she has had a rough beginning. She is looking for a loving home with another dog to help her become her best self. If you have a great pup and are looking for a second Daphne may be just right for you. A good dog match for her would be a medium to high energy dog that is playful and secure to run outside and lay around inside with as they show her how to dog.      Daphne was found with her sister Hayden, emaciated and living in a culvert in a rural and remote part of northern Mississippi in an area known as a dumping ground for dogs. Despite her difficult beginning Daphne is a great dog. She loves other dogs and is great with cats. At the rescue in Mississippi she loved to splash in the plastic swimming pool! She also loves to run in the yard and prance in the leaves. Daphne is currently being fostered in a home with two dogs and a cat in New England and is ready to meet her forever family.      Daphne is fully vaccinated, spayed and micro-chipped. She doesn’t have a drop of aggression, does well with kids and is housebroken.     If you are looking for a playful second dog Daphne will make a wonderful addition to your family. Wags is a licensed 501 C3 where one woman takes care of almost 150 homeless and stray dogs many of them have expensive medical needs.. Adoption fees include transport, vaccinations, microchip, and spay or neuter. For more information on Daphne or any of our rescue dogs please email her foster parent Kerry at KerryAnneMulligan@ymail.com  January 7, 2025, 5:36 pm

Story
adoption donation : $699 weight 33 lbs  Age: 5 months as of 10/15       The Rosie puppies—Rosie, Roseann and Rosemary— are adorable, friendly and sweet puppies who were left at the end of the Wags driveway in a cardboard box along with a mama cat and her kittens. Sadly in Mississippi this is all too common.       But despite their sad beginning  the Rosies are happy and thriving. They are mixes, but appear to have some English foxhound, and perhaps black mouth cur in them, just perfect for a medium size family dog. They couldn’t be sweeter and are very mellow. They are full of kisses and wiggles and love to romp and play and then snuggle together for a puppy nap.    The  Rosie puppies have had vaccinations, but will be spayed when they are older. Wags will pay for the procedure at one of the clinics that we use in the northeast or reimburse adopters what we pay if they choose to use their own vet. The puppies are doing well house training, but they need a refresher when they adjust to a new home. We are adopting them individuals , while they do adore each other they will adjust apart  in a loving home.        Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. Story
adoption donation : $599 weight 58 lbs  Age: 9 months as of  12/15      Bonnie and her brother Beau are friendly, lively Shepard pups who get long great with everyone they meet. They showed up at a trailer park in a rural part of northern Mississippi when they were young puppies and were taken in by an elderly couple. Sadly, the mom passed away, and the dad is no longer able to care for them and so Wags stepped in to help them find a home.   Bonnie has just arrived in her new foster home in the northeast, she was  a little shy at first , but she settled in right away with the other dogs and is very gentle and sweet. Bonnie has no aggression and will make a fabulous family member, she loves to play, but she’s also great at chilling! She does have some puppy like behavior and could use some training to learn not to jump up, but she’s just so excited to see her people! Bonnie is a smart girl and learns quickly. And she is very loving, she is all tail wags and kisses. She is doing well with potty training. If you give her a ball or toy she will keep herself entertained!
